Do guests need an account or an app?
No. Guests join through a link, QR code, or session code in their browser. They enter a name and choose from the room's available languages.
How does speaking work?
Conversation Mode uses push-to-talk: one person speaks at a time while everyone else listens. In Presentation Mode, participants listen by default, and the host can grant speaking permission.
Which languages can I use?
Parlar AI supports 13 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese. The host chooses which participant languages are available in each room.
Can I read captions and hear translated audio?
Yes. Listeners can follow translated captions and translated audio in their selected room language. Audio playback may require an initial interaction with the browser.
Are audio or transcripts stored?
Parlar AI does not store audio, transcripts, or translations by default. The room is designed for live conversation.
How much does it cost?
Parlar AI is currently in beta. Public pricing has not been published yet.
